Hello, I'm Victoria Wood and I'm asking you to join me in supporting George House Trust, the North West's leading HIV charity. The situation is serious. Today in the North West alone there are over 4700 men, women and children living with HIV - and new infection rates are higher than ever. That's why it's time for action on HIV. For 20 years, George House Trust has been providing vital support to people living with HIV. Now they need our support to continue helping the rising numbers of people still becoming infected each year. I know that the staff, volunteers and people depending on this amazing charity will be grateful for anything you can do to help. So that's why I'm saying 'Let's do it!' Don't Panic!

We can announce that we have been awarded 75 places for GHT runners on this year's Great Manchester Run. These places are open to all runners including people wanting to run with Team GHT for their first time.

To secure your place on the Run please send a cheque for £30.00 made out to George House Trust. Please write your name, email address, telephone number and postal address on an attached piece of paper or on the back of the cheque itself. Send to:

Your £30.00 payment will cover the registration process with the Run organisation. This payment is refundable if you wish, once we have received sponsorship of a minimum of £100.00.

There will be a small number of free places for people who are unable to meet this initial entry fee. To find out more about this please contact James as possible on 0161 274 4499 or james@ght.org.uk

The interest in taking part on the run increases every year, therefore we have to offer these places on a first come first served basis.

As usual we are raising money for the George House Trust Welfare Fund which supports HIV positive people living in the Northwest in financial hardship.

If you have been successful already in gaining a place on the Run through the organiser's online registration page (now closed) and would like to run with Team GHT, please also contact us so we can keep you up to date with fundraising sponsorship arrangements and of course let you know our plans for the day.
