Sat 23/08 - Manchester Pride Parade Join the George House Trust Float!
Time: 1pm sharp for the float judging. 1.30pm at the latest to join our float
Location: by the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Road, Deansgate, city centre Manchester
Join the George House Trust float on the Parade around Manchester City Centre. We need lots of volunteers to come and make our float the liveliest and noisiest float in the Parade!
Anyone who wants to be on, or walk with, the float should be there at 1pm and no later than 1.30pm. Please bring as many people as possible with you! The parade leaves Liverpool Road at 1:45pm.
On the parade we will be:
- Carrying banners
- making lots of noise
Everyone on the float will have to stand. No children are allowed on the float and will need to be accompanied and walk. "Children in the walking entry must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times." No alcohol. Drinking is strictly prohibited on the float and among our parade walkers.
Bottles of water and light snacks (not sandwiches) will be provided on the parade.
T-shirts will be provided for people in the George House Trust entry.
We would like everyone on the float and parade to wear a George House Trust "positive attitude to HIV" campaign T – shirt. The colour theme this year is purple, so feel free to follow the purple theme for the rest of your outfit!
