George House Trust is the North West's leading HIV Charity. We aim to promote the best quality of life for people with or affected by HIV. We have recently restructured our senior management team, creating two new posts, and now require two highly committed and experienced professionals to join our dynamic Manchester-based organisation.

Director of Finance and Information Technology


35 hours per week. Scale PO3-5 £31,653 - £36,636 (plus 7% pension)
For this key role in the organisation, you will need at least three years experience in a senior financial management role, preferably holding a recognised financial qualification. You will have a detailed knowledge of charity accounting requirements and standards. You will also have experience of co-ordinating and managing complex IT systems within an organisation and have the ability to develop these systems according to future needs. We require a team player, who is also self-motivated, and able to undertake high levels of delegated authority. As a line manager, and a strategic director, you will have excellent leadership skills in order to assist the Chief Executive and trustees in the successful management of the organisation.
Interviews for this post will be held on Thursday 2nd November 2006.

Director of Fundraising and Development


35 hours per week, Scale PO3-5 £31,653 - £36,636 (plus 7% pension)
George House Trust has a diverse funding base, and an excellent track record of securing resources. However the numbers of people we see rises year on year, and we are constantly looking for new sources of sustainable income to meet the needs of hiv positive people in the North West. We have created this new post in order to help us meet the funding challenges. You will have at least three years experience in a senior management role with fundraising and development responsibilites, coupled with detailed knowledge of the political and funding environment in which the voluntary sector currently operates. Your proven track record in successful income generation will match your ability to develop and deliver policy and strategy. We require a team player, who is self-motivated, and able to undertake high levels of delegated authority. As a line manager, and a strategic director, you will have excellent leadership skills in order to assist the Chief Executive and trustees in the successful management of the organisation.
Interviews for this post will be held on Friday 3rd November 2006.

Finance and IT Organiser


35 hours per week. Scale 5-6 £18,450 - £22,293 (plus 7% pension)
We also require a committed and organised worker to assist the Director of Finance in the day-to-day administration of our finance and IT systems. You will have experience of working with complex financial administration systems, as well as a detailed understanding of information technology packages.
