On Sunday 20th May 130 very brave individuals came out in the sun to run for George House Trust in the Manchester 10k run. The atmosphere on the day was fabulous as we joined the other 30,000 people on the route down to Old Trafford and back. It was a fun day with a great sense of achievement.
Everyone at George House Trust would like to thank all those runners who raised sponsorship money - it really was a fantastic achievement. At this stage we have received over £13,000 with around half the runners still to send in their money.
We would also like to say thank you to all the staff and volunteers who helped to organise the preparations for the run. And a big thank you to the staff at AXM for providing the top floor of the bar to hold out after run celebration.
It has been announced that next years Manchester Run will take place on Sunday 18th May. If you would like to run and raise money for GHT then let us know - but give yourself some time off before starting training!
