George House Trust aims to promote the best quality of life for people living with or affected by HIV in the North West. We currently support almost 1700 people. We are looking for a part time (17.5 hours per week) adviser on a 6 month contract. The job starts the week commencing the 3rd of September.


1 x Adviser – 6 month contract
17.5 hours per week. SCP 26-31 £20,895 – 24,708 pro rata pay award pending
This post will be responsible for delivering advice, advocacy and support to our service users both within our office base and in clinical and other community settings. You will need a good understanding of HIV and an awareness of current issues related to it. You must have at least two year’s experience of working with people with complex needs, for example relating to asylum and immigration, sexuality, HIV status, housing, mental health, drugs and alcohol, disabilities or health issues. You must also be committed to tackling stigma and discrimination.
