George House Trust is the North West’s leading HIV charity. We aim to promote the best quality of life for people with or affected by HIV. We currently support 2,200 men, women, and children, and we are looking for two dynamic people to join our busy team.

Adviser
(35 hours per week. NJC 26-31 £20,895 - £24,708 plus 8% pension – pay award pending)

We are seeking an Adviser to join our services team, who are responsible for delivering advice, advocacy and support to our service users both within our office base and in clinical and other community settings. You will need a good understanding of HIV and an awareness of current issues related to it. You must have robust experience of working with people with complex needs, for example relating to asylum and immigration, sexuality, HIV status, housing, mental health, drugs and alcohol, disabilities or health issues. A confident advocate, you must also be committed to tackling stigma and discrimination on a daily basis.

Finance Organiser
(35 hours per week. NJC 22-28 £18,450 - £22,845 plus 8% pension- pay award pending)

We are seeking a Finance Organiser to join our busy Operations team, assisting the Director of Finance and IT in the day-to-day administration of our finances.The role will involve a wide variety of financial tasks, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, credit control and petty cash. In addition, you will be required to support the Senior Management team regarding income generation for the charity, including gift aid claims and maintaining donor records.You will have experience of working with complex financial administration systems (Sage experience desirable), good communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
