Everyone is welcome to help GHT over the weekend, so please feel free to bring along friends and family.
It’s really important that you turn up for the activities you have agreed to undertake, as it will affect other volunteers if you can’t attend. You should then make your way back to Red Bank for the start of the parade where you should give your tin to a Emma or Brenda.
All GHT volunteers should be wearing the orange GHT t-shirts for the weekend. Brenda and Emma will have a stock of these. If it is raining we have clear ponchos which we will give you.
THE PARADE

Meet the George House Trust parade at Redbank between 12.30 and 1.30pm. (Look out for a very large and orange lorry!) The parade will leave at 2.00pm sharp.
Some volunteers will be on the float – hopefully dancing!
Other volunteers will be walking alongside and in front of the float with banners and flags, collecting tins, and with balloons and stickers to give out.
For safety reasons children are not allowed on the float, but can walk with an adult alongside the float.
The colour theme for GHT this year is orange. We will give you a GHT orange t-shirt which you can keep. You are welcome to come along in other orange outfits and some people will be coming in African dress (preferably orange!).
