George House Trust is the UK's second-oldest HIV charity. We aim to promote the best quality of life for people with or affected by HIV in the North West. We currently support over 1500 people. Due to the rapidly rising numbers of people with HIV, we're looking for two highly committed and skilled people to join our Manchester-based organisation.
2 x Advisers
35 hours per week.
Scale 6 - SO2 £19,901 - £23,913 (plus 6% pension)
These posts will be responsible for delivering advice, advocacy and support to our service users both within our office base and in clinical and other community settings. You will need a good understanding of HIV and an awareness of current issues related to it. You must have at least two year's experience of working with people with complex needs, for example relating to asylum and immigration, sexuality, HIV status, housing, mental health, drugs and alcohol, disabilities or health issues. You must also be committed to tackling stigma and discrimination.
