Mervis makhaza is an HIV positive woman from Malawi. She lives in Manchester with her 18 year old daughter. She has been refused leave to remain in the country. Very bravely she has chosen to fight this decision by having a high profile anti - deportation campaign where she is open about her HIV status.

George House Trust, obviously, supports and is heavily involved in this campaign.
